Dr. Cohen grew up with chiropractic and the wellness lifestyle that he now teaches his patients. His father is an acupuncturist, naturopath, and chiropractor and his aunt practiced functional medicine, nutrition, and chiropractic, so his professional training started years before he even started chiropractic school. He feels privileged to be part of a profession that simultaneously helps heal people and teaches them to take care of themselves.

After volunteering in clinics in Bali, Uganda, and India, he settled down in the Bay Area to create a chiropractic clinic catering to active individuals who want lasting change. In the last few years he’s become very involved with Team USA and the Olympic Training Center, even working the 2016 and 2020 (2021) Olympic Trials.

Dr. Villalobos grew up playing soccer, running cross country, and track & field. Her interest in sports chiropractic began after completing her second Chicago Marathon. Having received chiropractic care for various running injuries herself, she became fascinated with a non-pharmaceutical, problem-solving approach to treating the human body as a whole.

After finishing her Bachelor of Science in Biology at the University of Illinois, she was inspired to become a chiropractor for athletes and attended Palmer College of Chiropractic, West Campus. During her time at Palmer, she played soccer for the school team, served as vice president of the Associate Student Government, and was an active member of the Palmer West Sports Council. In her last quarter, she completed her preceptorship at ProActive under the guidance of her mentor, Dr. Cohen.

Dr. Villalobos specializes in sports injury rehabilitation and is certified in Upper and Lower Extremity Active Release Techniques (ART). Combining this advanced soft tissue therapy with her background in motion palpation, she applies a unique blend of chiropractic adjustments, muscle release techniques, exercise prescription, and injury prevention strategies. This comprehensive approach provides long-term relief for patients dealing with back pain, joint issues, and sports-related trauma.

When she isn’t in the office treating patients, Dr. Villalobos enjoys staying active through strength training, running, and hiking, while spending quality time with her partner and friends.
